Directions To Castlegate 

Approaching via A64

Take A169 to Pickering.

At roundabout take 1^st Left onto A170 - Hungate.

Turn immediately right onto Smiddy Hill, signposted to the Castle.

At the top of the hill bear left into the Market Place. The road narrows and is single lane going round the corner. Take the next right Burgate, signposted to the Castle. Follow the road past the cinema and keep going (Burgate turns into Castlegate), You will see the castle in front of you, Beacon & Castle Cottage are on your left a few houses from the end with the red front doors.

Safe on street parking is available adjacent to the cottages.

 Approaching via A170 from Thirsk

Approaching from Thirsk/Helmsley on the A170 until you reach Pickering.

At the traffic lights turn left onto The Ropery.

Past the car park, turn right onto Market Place.

Up the Market Place and before the road narrows, turn left onto Burgate. (Signposted to the Castle)

Follow the road past the cinema and keep going (Burgate turns into Castlegate), You will see the castle in front of you, Beacon & Castle Cottage are on your left a few houses from the end with the red front doors.

Safe on street parking is available adjacent to the cottages.
